The Flexi Rubber base, as the name suggests, is an extremely flexible rubberized base, specially formulated for extremely soft, thin, pliable, and damaged nails. It bonds with the natural nail plate and follows its micro-movements, protecting and restoring the nail without the cracking that often occurs with harder, rigid materials.

The consistency is medium-thick, self-leveling, and suitable as a builder base for shorter lengths.

PREPARATION

➡️Prepare the natural nail with a gentle file— never just a buffer!

➡️Push back the cuticles and thoroughly clean the nail of dust.

➡️Apply preparatory liquids if necessary (Nail Prep & Scrub, Magic airbond 3 in 1 or acid-free primer Nail Prime 2).

USE / TECHNIQUE

• Apply a clear base by "rubbing" it into the nail (e.g., X-base, Duragel step 1 or an appropriate clear base). Properly seal the edges and polymerize.
• Apply a thin slip layer— this layer is not polymerized immediately. Work wet-on-wet: over the slip layer, while still wet, apply a little more Flexi Rubber base as needed to build the apex or strengthen through thinner layers.
• Polymerize each layer as needed. After final polymerization, if there are any irregularities, lightly go over them with a buffer.
• Finish the rest of the nail art as desired: natural look, color, french, or other decoration.

TIPS AND TRICKS

➡️Work in controlled, thinner layers to maintain flexibility and prevent stress build-up in the material.

➡️For very pliable nails, use multiple thin layers instead of one thick one.

➡️When building the apex, follow the natural line of the nail and polymerize each layer separately for a stronger and longer-lasting structure.

POLYMERIZATION

Polymerization: 120 seconds. We recommend lamps with a range of 365–405 nm (full spectrum).
