🌸Combination possibilities
Different effects are achieved with different combinations.
- Subtle shimmer in a thin layer over builder gel, acrygel or gel polish
- More intense effect when used as a building base to enhance the apex
- A combination of larger and smaller flakes and reflective particles mixed into semi-transparent bases are an excellent choice for simultaneously subtle and striking effects.
For these bases we recommend using DuraGel 1 Step clear base to avoid having to go all the way to the natural nail during refill and glitter removal.
Duragel gel polish color base
Perfect texture, suitable for strengthening the apex (not too thick nor too thin), with a self-leveling texture on the nail that greatly speeds up the application process. The base is harder, but flexible enough for gel polish and natural nail movements.
Usage:
Prepare the nail by pushing back or removing excess cuticle.
Shape the natural nail and prepare with a file (not a buffer!), apply dehydrator Nail Prep & Scrub and Magic airbond.
Optionally, apply DuraGel Step 1, rub it well into the nail and seal the edges. Polymerize, then continue with the chosen color base by first applying a slip layer, rubbed into the nail (do not polymerize), and then with another bead, build the apex in the desired place and strengthen the nail.
👉Curing takes 90 seconds, exclusively in a combined UV/LED full-spectrum lamp (365–405 nm).
After curing, if there are minor imperfections, you can degrease the base and gently go over it with a file or buffer.
Apply color and top coat or leave the base as is and finish with a top coat.

Duragel Color bases open up countless possibilities – their application is almost limitless!
As color bases for gel polish – with or without apex building (we recommend building an apex and additionally strengthening the layer for greater durability).
As standalone colors – delicate, elegant, and long-lasting.
As a base for french – for a perfectly neat and refined look.
As soft semi-transparent shades – applied to builder gel or acrygel for a natural and elegant impression.

in one layer over gel – for an airy, soft color effect
in two layers – for stronger coverage and a more intense look.
